 There are two options for dog tracking collars; radio or GPS.  Radio collars send signals to a handheld receiver that tell you which direction your dog is and how far away.  GPS dog collars receive signals from a satellite and send the radio signal to your receiver giving you coordinates.  Both types of dog tracking collars are lightweight, safe in all weather conditions, small and easy to use handheld receiver.  Whichever choice you go with there is one thing you need to know, they all loose the signal what your dog is out of sight or out of range, however once you get close, usually before you even see your hear them, the receiver will let you know.
